Our Story
Lena Martinez started The Crumb & Co. with one goal: bake things the way they deserve to be baked — slowly, carefully, and with ingredients that actually matter. Operating out of a cozy little shop in East Austin, the bakery has become a neighborhood ritual for people who care what goes into their food.
Every recipe here began in Lena's home kitchen. The sourdough starter is years old. The chocolate avocado cake came from a long afternoon of happy accidents. Nothing is rushed, and nothing comes from a bag. The most important tools in this kitchen are time and attention — and there's plenty of both before the crowds arrive each morning.
Local ingredients aren't a marketing line at The Crumb & Co. — they're a non-negotiable. We source from Central Texas farms and vendors we've built real relationships with.
